I am pissed with SAFE HOME SECURITY systems company and their responses when trying to work with them about my account.

I am shocked to see so many affected customers here. I am ready to file CLASS ACTION lawsuit against this company.

Informed that the equipment has to be changed to 4G and will cost $400 or add $5.00 a month to bill but will extend the contract for 36 months. Other option is to pay $200.oo outright or buy out remaining contract which is 10 months. How can they force me into a extended 36 month contract when they are responsible for their equipment for which I pay monthly?

Yes I am ready. Augustin is a complete jerk and has been harassing my emergency contacts including my 80 year old parents.

AFTER I told him I would see him in court to file a case if he thinks he has one.

Count me in. I'm in the same lousy situation as the rest of you.

My main *** is they falsely extended the THREE year lousy contract for FIVE years . Who in *** would ever ever sign a FIVE YEAR home security contract!!

I'm getting dunns every month for the service which i refuse to use! after numerous complains to disconnect my service.

same... the collections person is harassing my 80 year old parents when their number was only provided as an emergency contact.

My system was inoperable, I was never notified, and it tooks weeks for a repair person to come. Then I moved, they seem to want me to continue to pay my contract despite their lack of providing service. It's laughable.

No where is an explaination as to how to cancel your account.

When I tried chat online but is does not work because they ask for the specific department but the drop down menu doesn't have any in and you can't type the department name in. Lets shut them down!

Yes, I want to join you in a class action lawsuit against Safe Home Security. I sold my house in 2016 and moved July 8, 2019.

I sent in cancellation notice in May. They say they didn't get it.

Since then they have been sending me bills for an alarm system I cant use. They also took payments 2 months after I moved.

Safe Home Security is a bunch of crooks. I intend to call the Better Business Bureau regarding their practices. I have been unable to get service and trying to talk with them on the phone is a waste of time, that is provided you can even get them to answer the phone.

Very long post. I'm here in Colorado, when I signed up for Safehome the representative told us that we were going into a 3 year contract.

We expressed that we were going to sell our home in the next couple of years due to our family expansion and he said we could transfer the services to the new address without hassle and everything would remain the same. He said that the remainder of our 36 month contract would be fulfilled at our new adress expressing that if we sold in June 2017 all we had to do was pay a service fee of $100.00 to transfer the services and the contract would go until June 2018 at the new address. All was fine and dandy with very minor customer service complaint until I moved June 2018. I called to cancel the services and they told me I was on a 60 month contract and would have to pay 90%.

The unfortunate situation is considering I thought I was dealing with an honest company, and NEVER would have thought they would have bait and switched us, I shredded all the unecessary paperwork and paperwork that had to do with the house because I assumed I was done eigth everything and I wouldn't need it. I was so wrong and kicked my self in the butt over it (hard lesson learned). I asked them to send me proof of the original copy, what they sent me had everything else written in it except the month term, that was typed in at 60 months. I would have never signed a 60 month term knowing I was going to move and be penalized for it.

So the next night mare began when they tried to charge me $200 for transferring the service after confirming it would be $100. When I called to get that fixed, I got into a brutal argument with the representative who basically told me get over it, there's nothing I can do about it because that's what it is. At that point I told the gentleman I was just going to look into legal support to fight it and I requested to speak to a manager. After speaking to a Jennifer the manager she told me that I was going to only be charged the $100 and once installation was finished I would be good to go.

That same day when I paid the $100 I also changed my debit card on the account to my new one. I was told everything was updated and I was good to go. I also confirmed that my account (based on sucking up) the 60 month term would be complete June 2020 and I could cancel. Next thing you know I'm getting a bill months later that states my account is past due and if I don't pay it than collection action would be taken.

I noticed the address for the account they said was delinquent was my old address. I also triggered the alarm tio see if I was being monitored and no surprise, my home wasn't. So I called Jennifer to figure it out and I paid the two or three months they said wasn't collected, made sure my card number was updated. She also told me that they had the old account because the paper work was never filed to transfer to my new address and asked me to sign the authorization.

When I looked over the final paper work, it extended the contract a year being 36 months after my transfer date. I was livid and when I asked why I was being extended, I was told it's because they only offer 36 and 60 month terms and since I transferred services in order to cancel the old account without being penalized paying 90% which was a little over $1,300 I had to agree to the 36 months for my new address. I couldn't believe it, they basically bait and switched me into 7 years (that's ridiculous) but I was forced to pay a significant amount of money either way, the situation exhausted me so bad that I just tried to be positive and deal with it. I've been in my house almost two years now and will soon be selling to possibly relocate for school.

Guess what I'll be paying them 90% to cancel the account anyway.

Over the last year, I've called Jennifer month after month to challenge this situation because it's just not right and I don't believe it's legal, I leave voice mails and she never calls me back, when she is there the representative tells me that she's with another customer, out sick or on vacation. She is the only one I will work with because she knows the situation and is ther only one I don't get into a yelling match with but i think this company needs to face a civil lawsuit because all the fingers are points towards them and they continually get away with scamming customers into business and longer terms.

Safe Home Security has tried to bill me over $5000. They forged my wifeโ€™s signature.

And said that we re-sign the contract with them and we never did. We have not had service with them for over three years yet theyโ€™re still billing is $50 a month. After billing us $3000 for an early termination fee.
