Add my complaint to the others who cannot cancel their services with Safe Home Security. On top of not being able to cancel I also have no connectivity to their equipment, and when I inquired about this I was quickly told it was not their responsibility to ensure their equipment was connected to my equipment but the other way round. I have a debt which I have disputed for years. I need to pay it since I am buying a new home, but the company will never call me back so I can settle the account! I have been work SHS since 2008. I signed a contract for 7 years for them for $ 18. Plus per month after they sent me numerous letter to join them, because the previous owner of my house has this alarm already. Like the others this company is a robbery and a joke. They are all unprofessional and really disrespectful. My contract ends on 12/8 abd they are charging me for monitoring for January? Really. I have been trying to cancel my mothers contract for 1 year with safe home security , they will not let me cancel. It was always beeping for no reason. They would send a technician out to fix it. It would stop beeping for awhile and start again. Then another technician comes out and it the same thing. It was disturbing us very bad even while we where trying to sleep. Two problems with this company, one is that since I did not give them 60 days notice, although I called within that time, I was forced to pay and extra year of service, which I did not want. They didn't care at all. The second reason is now that I'm gone from them, my new security company needs the access code set to default, so that they can service my system. Our contract began on 12/27/10 and last year in October, I sent a cancellation request. They claimed that I needed to give at least 60 days notice to cancel. So I was stuck paying for another year even though my system didn't work half the time.
